The journey of a rider isn’t just about engines and miles, it’s about the stories that unfold between one motorcycle and the next. My love for riding has been a constant companion, evolving through years, machines, and experiences that have shaped who I am on and off the road.
It all began with my first bike, a Suzuki Fiero. It wasn’t with me for long, yet it ignited something that never faded—the sheer joy of wind, road, and freedom. Soon after came the Yamaha YBX, passed down by a senior during my time in Paltan. Each ride with the YBX taught me something new about balance, control, and connection with the machine beneath me.
Then came a turning point, my Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350. The iconic thump resonated deeply within me. I believed that bike would stay forever, an inseparable part of my life’s gear shifts. But, as life often does, circumstances changed, and I had to let it go. Yet, that departure only deepened my yearning for the open road.
During a peace posting, the familiar itch to ride returned stronger than ever. That’s when I came across a Triumph Bonneville T100, and it felt like meeting an old friend in a new form. The Bonnie became my weekend partner, joining me for crisp Sunday morning rides that gradually turned into longer journeys. As my confidence on the superbike grew, so did my appetite to explore.
One of the most transformative adventures followed soon after, a ride through Rajasthan all the way to Tanot and Longewala. The endless desert skies and roads of solitude broadened my horizons in ways no office or city ever could. Each mile tested not just my endurance, but my understanding of what freedom truly means.
The highlight of coming to Delhi was finding kindred spirits in Get Set Throttle - a community of riders who shared not just roads, but stories, laughter, and passion. Before joining the group, I made another big shift, from the classic belts of the Bonnie to the rugged tracks of an Adventure Tourer. My Triumph Tiger 800 became the new chapter, a machine that felt built for exploration and self-discovery.
Even now, though I’m a bit removed from Delhi, I look for every chance to reunite with the community and chase horizons together. Every ride reminds me of one simple truth—bikes may come and go, but the spirit of riding, once awakened, never fades.
And as you can see in the image above, I've let go off the Tiger 800, and got in a brand spanking new beast to take - The Tiger 900. Let's ride safe, and make some memories together.
